Walaupon 3 bulan dah berlalu...tetap nk "hupdate" jugak Invitation Card untuk 1st Birthday Bash Chempaka hari tu..ehehe..at least senang sket nak cari balik klu soft copy dlm pc ni dh menghilangkan diri..hehehe...

Wat sendiri jer kad ni...inspired by Makcik Google...ehehe...map my hubby buat sendiri attached at the bottom of the card..(tapi maaf x dapek nk tunjuk kt sini yer..)

1st Time @ Swimming Pool

~ Splishhh Splasshhhh moment ~

Mari kita pergi mandi kolam!! Sememangnye saya dh lama rasa amat excited nak bawa Chempaka berendam di dalam pool.. tapi x confident takut dia x ckp fit.. hehhe.. tapi since dia pon sekarang dh reach setahun...apa lagii..!!

Checklist saya sebelum ke swimming pool

1) Cari swimming pool yang x crowded / ramai orang...definitely bukan public swimming pool...
2) Pastikan cuaca hari tu mengizinkan..cerah n x sejuk..
3) Timing untuk mandi..tak tengah panas, tak juga terlalu pagi..so kami pilih pukul 10.00 pagi..matahari pun dah naik
4) Bawak pelampung..(ni exciting part...x sabar tgk dia dok dlm pelampung..hehe)
5) Tengok keadaan pool...mandi kat children pool yg x berapa dalam dah cukup untuk sy and pool bersih..
6) Yang paling penting...Chempaka pon sihat and fit untuk activity splish splashh nih...

Memang best sebab tengok Chempaka sangat happy main air!!..ehehe...Nanti bley bawak lagi...tapi for 1st time hari tu kami pon x lama sgt rendam dia..tengok dah sejuk kami pon angkat kaki...ehehhe...

Infant-Toddler Car Seat..Perlu Ker??

Baby Car Seat..perlu ker?? ada ramai tak parents yang tertanya2 sama ada perlu ke x car seat ni? Tetapi sekarang ni ramai jugak parents yang memang memandang car seat ni 1 keperluan.apatah lagi bagi working parents...Bila daddy n mummy mempunyai hala tuju yang berbeza, pergi kerje naik kereta berasingan, masa ni memang car seat 1 keperluan..bagi parents yang nk hantar baby ker nursery..tapi bagi orang macam saya yang pergi balik kerje beromantika berdua (ecehhh...) kami memang rasa xde urgency untuk pakai car seat ni pada mulanye...

Since Chempaka 1 week old, kami memang dh letak dia dlm infant car seat (Maxi-Cosi CabrioFix) klu travel kemana2..Tapi lepas dia dah pandai "terjun" dari maxi-cosi n since kaki dh terlebih panjang (ahaks)..kitorang mmg just pangku dia jer kt passenger seat..(macam mak2 dulu)..then lepas rasa x bley handle dia kt depan, ktorng letak tilam kt seat belakang n sy akan duduk dgn dia kt belakang while abahnye drive..dlm masa2 terdesak sahaja (bila me or hubby have to drive alone w/out each other companion) barulaa kami guna kan car seat...

Sebab2 kami ragu2 nak beli car seat :-

1. Nak ke Chempaka duduk dalam car seat tu?? Takut dah beli xmo duduk, buat abehh borehhh jer..
2. Berapa lama jer dia nak duduk dalam car seat lagi? X lama lagi sure dah boley duduk sendiri..huhu
3. Mungkin car seat ni perlu klu me or hubby kene drive sendiri2 jer kot..
4. Car Seat tu mcm tegak jer..selesa ke klu untuk long journey..dia bley tdo ke..(walaupn dh recline)

Tapi lepas beberapa lama pikir and concern dengan safety Chempaka bila travel..(since dia melompat ke sana sini..n sibuk nk tekan button sana sini), kami akhirnye convince utk beli 1 car seatt!! (syabasss to us!!.hahah) N lepas ada car seat ni memang kami amat berpuas hati and rasa sangat convenience + lebih selamat masa kitorng travel kemana2)..Chempaka pon nampaknye memang selesa duduk kt dalam car seat tu..x banyak komplen since 1st time kitorng letak dia kt dalam car seat..mummy pon lebey selesa sekarang duduk kt front passenger seat sambil meneman abah drive...(beromantika kembali...eheh) yeayyyy!!

Jenis2 Car Seat yang ada di pasaran

• Baby (or infant-only) car seats: These should always face the rear of the car. They have a weight limit of between 22 and 35 pounds. When your baby reaches the weight or height limits for his infant seat, move him to a rear-facing convertible car seat.

• Convertible (or infant-toddler) car seats: These function as both rear-facing seats for babies and toddlers and forward-facing seats for older children. Many new ones are designed to hold a child of up to 40 pounds rear-facing and up to 70 pounds forward-facing. • Belt-positioning booster seats: These seats are for kids who are at least 4 and weigh at least 40 pounds. They use the regular car lap and shoulder belts to secure the child. Backless boosters are fine when used with an automobile seat that provides head support.

Perkara2 Yang Perlu Di Lihat Semasa Membeli Infant-Toddler Car Seat

Easy installation: Make sure car seat senang di pasang..klu terlalu complicated, gamaknye memang susah la nk fix kat kereta..klu x fix properly, it may not 100% secured your child safety.

Adequate restraints: If you're buying a convertible seat to use from day one, look for a car seat with a five-point safety harness. The straps – one for each shoulder, one for each thigh, and one between your baby's legs – are safer for an infant than the old plastic shields or T-bar restraints. (Note: For safety reasons, using any kind of used car seat isn't recommended.)

Belt adjustments: Avoid car seats that require you to adjust the buckle from the back of the seat. The better car seats allow you to make adjustments from the front and have raised belt slots for ease of use. A few models even adjust automatically.

Anchors and tethers: The Lower Anchors and Tethers for Children, is designed to make installation of a car seat easier by attaching the seat directly to the vehicle instead of securing it with the seat belt.

Washability: Babies and messes go hand in hand. But some manufacturers ignore this universal truth, and a surprising number of car seats come with pad covers that you can't take off. Be smart: Buy one with a detachable machine-washable cover.

Comfort: Your baby will enjoy a more comfortable ride if you buy a well-padded seat with plenty of head and back support. Just make sure he can move his arms freely and check out the view.

Chempaka 1st Birthday Bash..!!

Pejam celik pejam celik its time to celebrate Chemp's 1st Birthday!! yeayyy..eheh..sekejap jer plak rasenyeee..Since sejak kitorang move-in rumah xde buat lagi kenduri, so kami combine laa sekali Chemp's Birthday Bash + Bacaan Doa Kesyukuran..

Kami xde laa xtremely pikir nak wat specific theme party...1st time organize wat kenduri / event kt rumah, agak clueless sket..eheh...tapi alhamdulillah semuanye dah selamat...Theme (actually x specific, just wat cake & banner same theme) - Disney Princess...masa ni x tau lagi ape character yg Chempaka suke (sekarang her fav is BARNEY..), so ibu nye pilih this theme laa yg ibu rase agak adorable n sweet..ehehhe...and ade jugak dapat 1 lg cake for those yg sambut birthday in July (agak ramai time tu, my auntie, my SIL, my father, dan jugeee SAYA..;p) ..hadiah dari Opah Chempaka...

Chempaka's Standby Medical Kit

Balik raye memang ramai baby2 & anak2 kecik yang demam..termasuklaa Chempaka..still recovering from her fever + flu + cough....Teringat bab demam & x sihat ni, mesti mommies2 & parent2 kat luar sana yang ada stock medicine / ubat / ointment & equipment yg wajib di bawa kemana2 klu kita travel dengan si kechik...eheheh..memang kene standby slalu....for us antara bende2 wajib yang kami bawa & simpan stock kt rumah adalahhhh....(klu abes pon kene cepat2 restock..) heheh..

1) Minyak Yu Yee Cap Limau

Since newborn mmg pakai minyak ni untuk prevent kembung perut..tak tinggal sapu every time lepas mandi...tapi sekarang kami dah tukar kepada minyak ni plak...

2) Minyak Daun Ubat TYT

Sebab tengok minyak ni lagi banyak function nyee..multipurpose..untuk kembung perut, selesema (sapu kat ubun2 n pusat), gatal2, sengal urat sendi..n ade few purpose lagi..huuhu...so far, tengok ok jer..lagipon Chempaka dah besar,..so x risau sgt pasal kembung perut.

3) Sterimar Spray

Spray ni recommended by our pedic..Dr Cheok Sui Ann..untuk clearkan hidung baby daripada mucus / habuk2 di dalam hidung...slalunye kami gune untuk clearkan throat n hidung Chempaka klu selsema...baru dia bley tido lena lepas spray..Spray ni base dia air garam..so xde unsur2 chemical..according to our pedic, bley sembur seberapa kerap yang bley dalam sehari...

4) Pigeon Nose Cleaner Tube Type

Ni juge kami x pernah tinggal klu pergi kemana2...sebab Chempaka slalu sangat selsema..so biasenye lepas spray Sterimar & tengok hidung dia berair, kami gune ini untuk sedut mucus tersebut..slalu hubby yg operate..ehehe...type ni kami pakai so far senang sket nak handle..sebab ade yg lain2 kami pernah cube before this, agak complicated...ehehhe

5) Vicks Baby Rub

Untuk soothing..and klu malam2yg agak sejuk....sapu kat dada and belakang dada...

6) Babies Diaper Rash Cream

Diaper rash cream ni mmg ada banyak brand kat market...x specific sangat yang mana ..tapi wajib simpan 1 kt dalam ointment pouch Chempaka...ehehe..Bepathen ni antara yg ok kami pernah pakai

7) Kellis Insect / Mosquito Repellent

Wajib bawak klu balik kampung...ehehhe..Biasalaa budak2..nyamuk cepat jer datang..so repellent ni memang wajib spray every time lepas mandi...yang ni herbs base, so xde risau chemical sangat..

8) Baby Thermometer

Last but not least adalah thermometer...hehe..standby kot2 tetibe rasa body temperature naik...

P/s : Barang2 di atas adalah barang yang kami biasa gunakan untuk Chempaka...misal kata klu sesape nak try ke, bley laa mintak advice pedic / doc atau mereka2 yg lebih arif...eheheheh
