Pernah x uolls bawak anak2 main kat REKAZONE @ IOI Mall Puchong?? Kitorng pernah pegi last time, macam best jugaklaa especially for kids yang besar2 Chempaka..masa kitorng pegi tu Emir still baby2 lagi..rasa dlm 3-4 months..sebab nak spent masa lama sket and lepak2, sebab tu kami pilih lepak @ Rekazone...Chempaka boleh main puas2 plus kitorang n baby just lepak2 n chillex kat sana..

Fees : RM20.00 / kids..(unlimited hours)

Mesti bawak stokin sendiri yerr...termasuk parent pon mesti pakai stokin..

For us, this kind of place agak berbaloi kalau uolls boleh lepak lama2 kt sini, bagi anak2 main lama2..at least 2 jam...klu setakat 15-30 minit, for RM20.00 macam x berfaedah je..hihi..banyak jugak equipment kat sini..nak cerite pon agak susah diterangkan..layan jer laa pic2 yang sempat di snap oleh kami..

Overall kitorng puas hati jugaklaa as Chempaka memang seems having a great time! Emir yang still need his beauty sleep (at that time) pon macam relax sket sebab surrounding agak senyapss sepi..hehe.. Plus orang x ramai unlike banyak indoor playground yang lain..budak2 besar yang berlarian dengan ganas and selamberr langgar anak kite sampai terjatuh..pastu wat muka x bersalah..huhuhu (seriiauuu mak!)...equipment pon still dalam keadaan yang sangat baik..okeeeylah!

  Few weeks back we went to Toy's R Us @ Ikano and kind of attract to this "BOUNCE BOUNCE ACTIVITY CENTER by BRIGHTSTARTS...and it's AWARD WINNING activity center! (x caye cer tanya Makcik Google k) So saja2 cuba jaya letak Emir kat dalam..just seronok2 sebab nampak best...

On the size wise, to me OK..sebab dia x besar sangat and x jugak kecik sangat, for size macam Emir (approx. 8-9kg baby), nampak it fit nicely...xde laaa nampak dia terloboshhh di dalam itu..rasa smaller baby pon should be fine sebab nampak diameter of the seat x besar sgt and the height pon x tinggi sangat..

Seat boleh pusing 360deg..so babies boleh pusing keliling the activity center for them to reach all the toys around the activity center..cuma pergerakan terhad di situ, sesuai ler bagi parents yg intent to put the baby inside and engage them with the toys around the activity center..macam rasa secured pon ada sebab baby x bergerak and static location at where we put them.

Excercise

Babies could jump2 on the activity center as there is kind of bungee platform for the babies to bouncee..cute..! The platform could be adjusted to 3 height level so that this bouncing gym could grow with the babies....Babies boleh exercise and kuatkan kaki by bounce2 on this activity center...macaam cumil kann,.,huhu...

Toys & Color

Warna2 ceria yang sangat menareks! Green, Yellow, Blue & Orange..nice combination & attractive..Through our  observation, 5 toys are around the activity center..Babies will need to move around in order to reach each toys. Most of toys are rattle type..Emir nampak excited..tp still tetap nak masukkan ke dalam mulut..huhuhu..But for me, 5 toys rattle type still macam nampak this activity center agak kosong...think should be more toys (maybe saya tamak haloba!! hihihihi), yang lebih canggih (ada bunyi2, lampu2 yang berwarna warni and educative sket) rather than a rattle..sebab takut the babies akan cepat rasa bosan,,huhu..

Weaning from Pacifier / Cerai Puting ~ In Memories

~ Pic pembuka bicara (chewah!)..in her early days ~

Officially Chempaka weaned from her Pacifier @ 2 1/2 yo (exact date x berape nk hengat)..At first mmg risau macam mana kalau we failed wean her-off from the pacifier,,time tu terbayang my lil Chempaka, rambut curly2 ikat 2..pakai uniform tadika yg cute..tp pakai pacifier!! Zuuppppp....jatuhhh sahammm...huhu..

So, then we decided that we MUST try to wean her-off...Masa tu, as we remember, dia still stay at nursery..so normally dia dengan pacifier tu after we fetched her from the nursery..naik kereta jer, for sure dia mintak ktorng her pacifier..bukan x pernah cakap "x bawak or xde or xtau letak mana" tapi for sure dia tau kat mana ktong simpan pacifier dia..biasanya dalam poket misteri dlm nursery bag dia..huhuhu..cuma dia bukan jenis yang 24/7 pacifier lekat kt mulut..ada cuma sekejap2..tp sure nk ada di pandangan matanyerr..eheh..so we thought dis might be easier...

~ Masa baby2 ni cumil jer mulut sumbat dengan pacifier..if skrg??? Could not imagine..eheh ~

Buat malam permulaan, me & hubs try to put some salt on the pacifier..Why Salt??!! hahahahah...funny eh..sbb ramai advice esp the org2 tua letak bende2 pahit or rasa pelik..as sireh, gambir or etc..manaaalaa rumah Makcik Minah adoo semua tu..so fastest solution untuk menimbulkan rasa kurang sedap adalah garam..hahah...then at night bila nk tidur, as usual she source for her pacifier,,weolss ngn saspens waiting for her reaction when she put the pacifier inside her mouth..dengan harapan dia cakap "Tak Cedap" and buang terus the pacifier..TAPIIIII...harapan tinggal harapan..dengan muka selamber jer dia Ngappp and seperti tiada apa2 berlaku..Danggggg..FAILEDD...!!

Then few nights after that, ktorng saja2 test slow talk dengan dia..just cakap.."Eiiii..utinggg usyuuklaaa (puting busukklaa)..xmo hisap k" then dia plak macam menyetujui jer during that time..so cepat2 weolss sorok..so pengembaraan tanpa pacifier start for the 1st night..Jeng jeng jeng..ada jugak dia hint2 mintak but then we just consistently ckp bende yang sama "Uting Ucuk"..1st night rengek2 about 15-30 mins kot..pastu berjaya tido..

~ Masa tidur yg indah..throwback namanye ~

The next day & following night bende yang sama..bila dia hint2 nk pacifier, ulang lagi bende yang sama..cuma duration untuk rengekan akan berkurangan dari hari2 sebelumnye..cukup 3 hari dia dah tau dah..dh x cari sangat dah,,,BERJAYA!!..yeay!..Kesimpulannya :-

1) Kene Konsistent

2) Cekal hati..jangan mudah kalah dengan rengekan anak

3) Buang rasa kesian tgk anak

4) JANGAN GIVE-UP (paling penting)

5) Kreatif..(hihi..kene try & error beberapa method..tapi Mak ni x pongg..)

6) Rasanya kene start awal..lagi lama kita tunggu untuk weaning lg susah (ni ikot advice doctor lerr)

~ Dah besar sket ni..probably 6-7 months ~

Tp afterall, my point of view is Allah has made it easy for us..Alhamdulillah..sebabnye nasib baik dia x merengek2 yang extreme, gulung2 atas lantai + meraung..klu ini terjadi, rasanya 99% weolss angkat tangan..huhuhu

Notes : Writing this post and look back on the older pictures, makes me realize how times flies sooo fast!! Chempaka is big gurl and a kakakss to Emir now..a bit bossy, cheeky & caring kakak if I could describe her..kind miss her baby time though..

As Emir, learn from our mistake & sebab dah ada experience, manage tak pakai pacifier untuk dia!! Yeayy!! Cabaran tetap ada, as masa dia umur 2-3 months, time dia banyak menyusu and kind of macam asek nk ngempeng..the attempt of giving him the pacifier also have cross our mind but cecepat REJECT the idea and bertahan!! Just nurse him whenever he wants! Alhamdulillah, dia pon nampak pandai to sooth himself by hisap jari..mujur habit hisap jari pon x lekat..coz everytime dia masukkan jari dalam mulut, if we are around, we just tarik jari dia keluar..xmo bg dia carried away by the habit...

Emir's Paed ~ Klinik Pakar Kanak-Kanak Deng

As promised in previous post, will write on Emir's paed today...

If klu tengok time Chempaka dulu...since she was born we just refer to Dr. Cheok Sui Ann @ Columbia Asia Hospital Puchong (CAHP) for her immunisation or whenever she's sick. We quit skeptical to change to other paed as memang dari baby Dr. Cheok yang attend her and she knows her history well. Being new to parenthood plus Chempaka pon slalu demam & kurang sihat, we're a bit paranoid of trying some other clinics..bukan x pernah try, tp most of the clinic medicine agak kurang serasi dengan Chempaka, mcm x mujarab and end-up ktorng for sure refer kt CAHP balik.

We also requested Emir to be monitored by Dr. Cheok starting when he was born and there we continue our check-up @ CAHP. But however, after his 1st month jab, we start thinking to give a trial to other specialist clinic outside. Not because Dr. Cheok is not good (infact, she is really good..ramai giler que nak jumpe dia!). Maybe sbb dah ada experience to handle baby, so we are more relax & cool this time (cheehh..perasaan sndiri..hihi)

The main reason kami beralih arah is just to be less hassle for every check-up visit. CAHP nowadays quit pack with people..usually we will went out early in the morning to reach the hospital by 8.00 a.m so that we will be 1st patient in the row (although dah buat appointment, still kene que according time you arrive @ the hospital)..Doctor start to attend the patient around 9.00 a.m. Boleh je datang pukul 9.00 a.m (as per appointment card) tapi slalunye kene tunggu mana2 patient yg datang dulu settle, then br smp turn and kami adalah among orang yang x gemar menunggu ..so prefer to be earlybirdies..lagipun start pukul 9.00 a.m ke atas, orang semakin ramai as consultation time with specialist only till 12.00p.m on Saturday, parking pon susah sket..Slalunye lepas check-up and que nak bayar bill & amek ubat at pharmacy, kami akan settle before 10.00 a.m..

Dulu anak sorang senang sket nak siapkan pagi2 n kluar, but with 2 kids (toddler & baby), macam kesian nk kejutkan diorang pagi2 and rushing.

So end up we cling to KLINIK PAKAR KANAK-KANAK DENG @ USJ 21, Subang Jaya. Sangat dekat to our house..(minus 1 toll that we need to pay if we go to CAHP)

~ Xde snap gamba depan clinic so Dr. Deng's name card pon jadilah~

Consultation Hours : 

Mon - Fri   : 8.00 a.m - 12.00 noon, 6p.m - 8.30 p.m

Sat              : 8.00 a.m - 12.00 noon

Consultation hours are really convenient to us as sbb kami bekerja, dia bukak sampai 8.30 mlm everyday and also available on Saturday.So kalau anak2 x sihat tetibe boleh shoot trus pegi klinik after office hrs..plus, we could just walk-in without upfront appointment. Unlike kt CAHP, ktorng just boleh pergi on Saturday as weekdays smp petang jer kot (kami x sempat)..for Dr. Cheok laa..klu emergency add odd hours of course GP ada standby. The thing about this clinic is the operating time is consistent...sbb before ni, ktorng banyak jugak usha specialist paed clinic yang lain kt area USJ, tapi everytime nk pegi..pintu tertutop rapat and kami sure kechiwaaa..huhuhu

Of course orang x seramai di hospital, and ada indoor playground (slides ngan rumah aci x kira playground? hiihi) ..so budak2 agak accupied and seronok..esp si kakak Chempaka laa..huhu..sgt happy klu cakap Adik nk jumpe doctor..nak2 the clinic assistants kt situ pn rajin layan dia.. :D

Dr Deng is really nice doctor I could say..as I mentioned previously, he will explain in details about your baby progress or disease base on his observation..Here, we feel more relax and no rush out..(that's what we like most). Compared when we were in CAHP, the consultation will just take roughly 5-10 minutes as there are long que of patient and sometimes made us feel not worth of hassle & waiting time we have to go through. Unless there is really important needs to seek Dr. Cheok advice, we just pay a visit to Dr. Deng.

Lagipun Emir nampak serasi dengan Dr. Deng..maybe jugak his visit mostly for immunisation jab as dia sangat jarang sakit..just demam2 biasa...ALHAMDULILLAH..praise to Allah..

The fee also of course much cheaper than CAHP, just high a bit from regular clinic..for e.g consultation for just normal fever (yesterday) around RM60.. And for immunisation jab as I could remember last time is around rm200++...still ok for us for the services provided as Dr. Deng is paed.

Roseola Infantum / Campak Palsu

Since last Thusrday night until Sunday Emir have been down with fever..on & off..kejap panas kejap baek..the temperature seems not really high so we just apply home remedy..bagi panadol, bagi mandi and lap2 badan je..Emir memang sangat jarang demam..sepanjang dia 10 bulan just 2 kali dia demam including this time..but kali ni demamnye lama sket...so its proved that mothers' breastmilk is the best nutritious source..NO DOUBT!

However, on next Monday night (arrived home after works) we spotted that there are some kind of red rashes start appears on Emir's face & body..bintik bintik merah yang comels tapi bukan chicken pox type..since x begitu obvious, kitorg just abaikan...sbb orang melayu cakap "buang panas"...the next day balik from office, bintik2 merah yang comel itu semakin obvious...dlm hati berbelah bahagi nak pergi klinik ke xmo..sbb mcm xde symptom yg seriosaa..demam nope..batuk nope...selsema nope..merah ada mata / berbiji nope..tapi untuk sedapkan hati, kami pergi juga melawat Emir's pedictrician, Dr. Deng..lagipon dah lama x check his progress since his last check-up..

~Budak demam..ada bintik2 merah comel yg x berapa jelas~

Through-out docs observation what Emir's having is ROSEOLA INFANTUM..(Arrkkk...apakah?! nama cam Rosalinda Ayamorr pon hado) Boleehlaaa mommies2 semua bertanya pada Makcik Google k..

Hehhe..actually ia x membahayakan according to Dr. Deng (phewwww..lap peluh!)..katanya klu ikot orang Cina they call it "Campak Palsu" (ahakkksss)...maybe itu yang orang melayu panggil "Buang Panas"..the symptom is baby akan demam 2-3 hari dulu then after that the red rashes pulak akan kluar for 2-3 days juga.. and according to Dr. Deng mmg normal to baby below 2 years...xde ubat just observe and soon rashes to akan hilang sendiri...Dr. Deng siap lukis graph on this illness..actually mmg sy suke Dr. Deng because dia x lokek utk explain to parent like us things like this...and dia juge seorng yg comel sbb kadang2 dia pakai tie katun yg comel2 i,e pooh..heheheh (bleyy ek camtu..hihi)..Maybe next entry I will write something on this klinik and why we have change from previous pedic to Dr. Deng..

Kata Dr. Deng lagi, unlike measles / chickenpox, as per 2nd graph (bottom), baby akan demam dulu and dalam masa yg sama (1-2 hr masa demam), bintik merah akan muncul..so ada pertindihan masa di situ...gitulaa menurutnye..Risau jugak klu kene measles / chickenpox sebab x cucuk lg for this measles immunisation until his 1 year..

Emir 10months & My First Baby Book

Emir has turn 10  months young on last Saturday..9 Nov 2013!! Yeay,..Sekejap sungguh masa berlalu..His major achievement so far..

1) Ada 4 batang gigi (2 atas depan, 2 bawah depan)

2) Dah pandai berdiri lepas tangan sekejap..merangkak dengan laju and duduk dengan slumber yaya..

3) Laju sebut "Abah"..ada dengar kadang2 sebut "Abu"..(ibuler tu kot..huhu)

4) Pandai tepuk amai2..

5) Pandai cari gaduh / manja2 dengan kakak.. :D

~Wat his duckface @ 10 months~

Masa Emir was a few months young, I've found this book call "MY BABY BOOK" at 1 bookstore sale @ Ampang Park..It's for recording all the milestone and moment for babies..dulu masa Chempaka mmg ngidam nk satu tapi x beli...Ni kebetulan trjumpa, terus grab tanpa pikiaq dalam2.. ;p

What I like about the book??! 

Here I could record precisely all the milestone that Emir's have achieve so far..then ada page to fill his arrival's momento...which hospital...page for us to fill our Family Tree...and also page we could put baby's picture from 1 month to 12 months...

Amongst the book content :

The downside of this book is its actually published in UK & it could be design base on Christian's event & culture,...and that's why some page may not be relevant to us i.e My Naming Day & My First Christmast..But I'm thinking of change the page to reflect his Aqiqah's Kenduri & His 1st Raya.. :) .. Overall I still love this book!! :)

Kids Piercing / Tindik Telinga Chempaka @ 3yo

At first when she told me that she want to wear earrings, I quit suprised..tp dalam hati berkata-kata "Haa..ada chance ni pegi tindik..ngeheheh"...So I just pancing her again.."Btol ke Chempaka nk pakai "cantek" kt telinga? Nanti kite pegi pakai "cantek"k!!" Cantek is referring to the earring...Seminggu jugak I repeat the same question to her..just to be confirm that she really2 want it..And the answer is remain consistent..NAKKK....It's just because she always see me wearing my dangling earrings and then she just ask me if she can wear it too..eheh...So, since the chance is there sebab dia tengah ok, she requested by herself..tanpa berlengah2 lagi we went to jewelery shop to pierce her ear.

Actually, dulu2 pernah jugak dengar from someone (tp x ingat siapa n dimana tempat kejadian) that its better to get the piercing earlier since baby sebab cepat baek..tp x sampai hati laa pulak time tu..

We went to Tomei Setia City Mall, Setia Alam as co-incidencely we have to went somewhere nearby it. Dalam hati memang risau macam mana kalau lepas tindik telinga sebelah, sebelah lagi plak dia tak mau sebab meraung...tp redah jugak laa kan...But to our surprised, rupa2nye diorng tindik telinga dua-dua belah serentak knowing that she still a kid..Phewwww..legaaa!! Dunno if other jewelery shop practice the same method or  not but for Tomei Setia City Mall definitely do..!! And the "lenglui2" yg pierce telinga Chempaka tu pon seems dah biasa handle kids..diorang gentle and pandai pujuk...dapatlaa si Cik Mek tu belon as upah..

Muka mula2 before tindik agak excited as she could not expect what it feels or how it will be done..ehehe...lepas tembak, of course nanges sket laa..tp bukan sebab sakit to more to tergezutttt...So to parents yang nak tindik your daughter, siap2la practice kata2 manis untuk memujuk your princess so that she will calm and xde hati nk bukak the earrings.

Some tips that I could share :-

1) Right after dia tindik tu upahler sesuatu..sebagai appreciation atas keberanian dia...ehehe..budak kecik kott..yg penting nk bagi dia calm after tu..ehehe..(weolss upah eskem Mcd..tu pon dia dh sgt happy)

2) Selalu puji yang telinga anak anda itu sangat cantik "Wahh kakak macam princess laaa..cantiknye telinga..kakak xmo bukak k"..and resultnye, anak anda akan perasan dia tu cantik..wakakaka!

3) After tindik, letak minyak gamat supaya subang tu x melekat n nnt menjadikan luka lambat baek, n worst menanah..Tp Alhamdulillah, telinga Chempaka 2 hari jer seems mcm dh ok..

4) After 1 week ke, dh boleh tukar ke Subang Emas/gold earrings..takut lama2 subang yg asal tu nnt melekat kat telinga.

5) Yang penting, sebab kite tindik budak, rasanya baik pegi ke jewelery shop yang bertauliah..huhu..takut pegi booth yg kecik2 ni x pandai plak handle budak.

My Babygears & Equipments List

 Coming to second baby, I could listed few baby's gears & equipments...which I could call my checklist for newborn baby..this is totally strictly based on our experience and to suits our needs..

All of the items is very useful to us dan sangat2laa berjasa...Most of it we prepared before bersalin so that tidaklaaaa kelammsss semasa confinement...

1. Baby Cot

Both my children, I trained them since newborn to sleep in the cot..so that they will get use to it. Its for their own safety especially when you have a toddler n infant sleeping together with you in 1 room. Mmg agak penat when you need to wake-up during midnight to bf / feed them but for me its managable..(honestly..it's not that bad...jujurr..x tipu..hehe).. Yang penting keselamatan n keselesaan anak2..from my reading, it's important to start to trained them early if u planned to use a babycot..if not, they will refuse n end up the bbcot jadi tmpat letak barang or ternak habuk..ehehe

Ours..we just get the basic 1 from IKEA..but we fully utilized it since Chempaka..tahan jer hokey..

2. Baby Carrier n Stroller

Berguna utk bawak baby ulang alik ke hospital for check up..that's why ianya agak berguna & penting to prepare before bersalin..(that's from our thoughts)..Even when transport them around we just put the baby in the carrier as a carseat so that baby & mum (sayalaa tu) will be more relax..I actually do not prefer mengriba (eheh..ada ke perkataan ni) my baby dlm kereta especially for long journey atas faktor2 3K (keselamatan & keselesan & kepenatan.. ;p)..so this bb carrier is just fit our needs prefectly.

We also have this baby carrier, soft structure..Mothercare's 2in1 Position Carrier.. Since I have 1 3yo toddler we used to wear this baby carrier whenever we shop around..My 3 yo toddler a.k.a Chempaka sat in the stroller for ease manage...klu x, x larat kami mengejar nyer...Quit usefull as I could walk with my handsfree while carrying my baby..the only thing is this carrier could only fit untill 12kg baby (approx 1yo)...

3. Baby Bouncer and Rocker

This is highly recommended to all new parents to invest in...we have both bouncer & rockers (ours are Fisher Price). Bouncers are more recommended to newborn as it smaller from rocker but the FP's rocker could fit from newborn and could convert into rocking chair for toddler...I could say that I used the bouncer / rocker most of the time for baby naptime and to comfort them as well...Other than playpen, I feel more safe to leave my baby for a while on the rocker while a get some of the house-chores done as I could put the rocker nearby me..i.e while I'm cooking..and FYI, kami mengangkut sekali rocker ni whenever kami balik kampung (risau budak  x boleh tido..hihi...wajar x?)

4. Breastpump

Having experience both failing & succeed (still on-going journey) in BF..I could not deny the importance to get the breastpump upfront before we deliver....For me, I started to use them since in my confinement period..during my early week just to reduce engorgement and I think starting 3rd / 4th week, I started to collect my EBM stocks..Alhamdulillah Allah made it easy for me on my 2nd one.. and since Emir was born, I think this gadget have become my bestfriend..as this is the thing I cannot missed to carry wherever I go.. :)

5. Baby Bathtub

I think this is standard thing all new parent will buy..the objective are all same and clear..and dun think I need to elaborate much..For this we just bought a regular bath tub..xmo membazir sgt spending on this kind of thing..

6. Walker

Know that some pedic does not recommend walker (through my reading previously), as they could affect baby learning development..(katanyaa.) but for us, think it quit useful though.. Chempaka & Emir also looks happy in it..senang bergerak dari hulu ke hilir..eheh...and from my point of view, its just 1 medium they used to entertain themselves...x larat asyik nak gendong diorng sbb merengek nak ikot kesana sini...huhuhu..sengal urat pinggang mak...! :D

 7. Carseat

Lastly on my list which I could remember now (mungkin akan bertambah namanyee..) is Carseat..for safety reason of course!!..And easy manage the kids in the car..Lagipun for long distance journey, the kids & baby lebih relax and boleh tidur dengan lebih aman..
